tridacna shell, ring-shaped, slightly vaulted in front, eleven notches, on metal base; such rings were used as primitive money but men used to wear them during ritual dances as well. Sometimes they were even given to young girls who were about to marry. They fixed the rings to special bags used to be worn with a headband, and thus made them an important part of their festive costume. They were used for decoration of the big yams root. In the context of important dances they were also used by young women as breast ornament.

wood, residues of black paint and red pigment, of oval hollowed form, culminating in a middle ridge: a notched forehead turning into a long trunk-like nose with a scrolled ending, chin and forehead are decorated with incised ornaments, eyelet for support on top, slightly dam., paint rubbed off, missing part (left ear); this mask type was not worn in front of the face, but was fixed to a sacred flute.
