wood, brown patina, encrusted in some areas, short legs with strong thighs, supporting an elongated waisted trunk with accentuated breasts, both hands resting aside the abdomen, a columnar neck carrying a head with a wide facial plane and a fine grooved, diadem-like coiffure with neck lobe, raised scarification marks, slightly dam., missing parts (foot zone), cracks (face), on base; embodyment of the ideal female in Baule culture. Elaborate coiffure and scarifications are signs of her beauty. The extremely strong thighs should be a hint that she diligently tills her fields and that her house never lacks water and firewood.

wood, dark brown shiny patina with residues of black paint, rising from short legs, supporting a cylindrical trunk with round shoulders and with the arms carved close to the body, a short neck carrying a big head with long projecting chin, crowned by a fine grooved diadem-like coiffure, separated from the wide facial plane by a three-parted headband, the face dominated by heavy lowered lids below arching brows, raised scarification marks on the face, upper part of the body and at the back, slightly dam.

wood, dark brown patina, horseshoe-shaped, a long neck carved with a head with crested coiffure and heart-shaped facial plane, showing reduced, harmonical facial features, sickle-shaped scarification mark on the forehead, slightly dam., crack (corpus), paint rubbed off in some areas, old collection label backside "Baoulé Cote d'Ivoire Jaafoué Bouaké" and on the underside of the base; the weaver who uses traditional methods employs so-called heddle pulleys to guide his cotton thread. They are decorated with motifs taken from the ancestral cult or tribal symbols. However, heddle pulleys do not embody ritual meanings.

wood, slightly encrusted reddish brown patina, kaolin, of oval form, surmounted by curved horns, small, slightly protruding eyes with painted pupils, drop-shaped framing and circular drillholes below, a rectangular mouth with raised rim and visible rows of teeth, pierced around the rim, missing parts because of insect caused damage, fissures, slight signs of abrasion, on metal base; the "kplekple" masks accompany masks of the buffalo god "goli". They are of lowest rank and serve to announce the appearance of the other masks of the "goli" family - "goli glin" and "goli kpwan".

wood, blackish brown patina, shiny in some areas, kaolin, of oval hollowed form, pierced eyes, deepened in a horizontal line, a flat rising forehead protruding rooflike to the top, the ears forming a flat half-circle, folded to the front, a protruding mouth with visible rows of teeth, the eyes, mouth and scarification marks accentuated by kaolin, pierced hole on top of the head and at the chin, pierced around the rim, broken in some areas, slightly dam., paint rubbed off (forehead), on base; the Bete are an ethnical group of around 800 000 people, living in the southwestern part of the Ivory Coast. They are most known for a mask type with several protruding horns, resembling a knights helmet with ventail. The present mask type, combining stylistical elements of neighbouring ethnical groups, is much rare to be found. The deepened eye zone reminds of the Dan, the mouth with bared teeth of the Guro.

wood, shiny black patina, of oval hollowed form with a pointed chin, pierced circular eyes flanking a small nose, a triangular protruding mouth underneath, pierced around the rim, min. dam., slight signs of abrasion; such masks are called "running juju", they are worn by the fastest runner of the village for admonishing the people to be careful and running for help in case a fire breaks out.
