light brown sandstone, regular, delicate cut facial features, the mouth with full lips indicating a smile, the face enclosed by small ears with long projecting ear ornaments, crowned by a high towering three-parted coiffure, a textured diadem above the forehead, slightly dam., minor missing part (neck/backside), on block-like wooden base; the ideal of cambodian statuary has nothing in common with the Western view of beauty. The sculptures, if they are of human or animal shape, were pure visions of divinity. The idealized physiognomy and its perfectness in form were not dedicated to earthly perfection.

hardwood, polychrome paint, rectangular form, distorted facial features because of a wide opened teeth revealing mouth, diadem-like head crest with five miniature skulls, min. dam., fissures, slight traces of abrasion; presumably depicting the demon "gonpo", one of the terrible protectors of "mahakala", the tantric god of Buddhism and defender of law.

Tibet, Gau
silver (92 g), the front showing the goddess Palden Lhamo riding on her mule, closed by a copper plate on the rear, min. dam.; Palden Lhamo takes a foremost position in the Tibetan pantheon and is the guardian of the Tibetan capital Lhasa, as well as of the Dalai Lama. In most cases she is shown riding on her mule through a sea of blood and grease. She looks blackish blue with hanging breast, flaming eyes, moustache and projecting hair. Additionally she holds a long club and a cup made from a childs skull deriving from an incestous relationship. Five further skulls forming a kind of crown on her head.

silver, gold-plated in parts, rectangular amulet case with triangular lid, several sickle- and sun-shaped applications, set with two flat cut carneols and 10 cabochons, five leaf-shaped pendants with small bells in pairs at the lower rim, attached to a three-strand necklace with pierced intermediate pieces, horn motif at the lid, very good condition; the originally included Koran sayings are generally removed before the amulets were sold.

silver, decorated with round and leaf-shaped gold-plated applications, set with six flat carneols, eleven pendants with leaf-shaped pads and chains, two eyelets for attachment on the upper rim, on base; present amulet depicts bow ("yay") and arrow ("ok"). It was sewn on the back of young boys clothing and should protect its wearer.

silver alloy, open ring with simple geometrical engravings, applications on either side set with blue glass stones, pierced and fixed by silver bolts, the spiral originally wrapped with twisted wire (small remains preserved), one of the glass stones dam.; Janata assumes that the manufacturing centres of torcs like the present were situated in the Swat Valley of Pakistan. From there they were said to be merchandized to the Kafirs of Afghanistan. In pre-islamic Kafiristan just men of high rank, their women and daughters were allowed to wear such torcs.

silver amulet case, gold plated in parts, decorated in Niello technique, trimming with small turquoises, appliques in granulé at the lower rim, leaf-shaped ornaments with coral- and mother-of-pearl beads attached, both sides of the case decorated identical, hinged lid on the upper rim, attached to a four-strand silver necklace, decorated with ornaments decorated with turquoises and cabochons, in very good condition, intact; the amulet case was used for insertion of coran sayings. It was part of the bridal endowment of rich people and was worn on the breast or aside the hips. It was completed by a diadem, which was elaborate worked likewise.
