Diese kleinen Elfenbein-Figurinen befanden sich im Besitz der hochrangigsten Mitglieder der "bwami"-Gesellschaft ("lutumbo lwa kindi").
Sie symbolisieren unterschiedlichste menschliche Charaktere, positive und negative, und dienten dazu, den Initianten die moralischen Werte und sozialen Strukturen der "bwami"- Gesellschaft zu vermitteln.
