Club "gugu"

This form of club, mistakenly called "lotus club", in fact has its head modelled on a type of river fish named "gugu" or "tivitivi". Such clubs are considered to come from the interior of Viti Levu and to have been a special club for use in dances rather than combat. For a club of the same type see Hooper, 2016, ill. 238.
