collage, sign. right at the bottom, glazed/ framed (70 x 53 cm) Design for an oil painting published in the catalogue "Heinrich Siepmann, Das Spätwerk, Malerei und Collage", (1994), p. 6. The painter Siepmann belongs to the second generation of Constructivism. In 1948 he was co-founder of the artist group "young west" in Recklinghausen, who wanted to contribute to the art dictate by the German National Socialists to make the region of the Rhine and Ruhr back to a cultural landscape. In the years after the war, he consistently developed his path into non-objective, geometrical abstraction.
