In our curated Live Online Auction on May 23, 2020, we will take you on an art trip to the impressive works of Old America, Asia, Australia and Africa as well as to the antiquities of Europe and Egypt. This special auction "Voyage Tribal Art" is the connecting bridge from us to your home.
A work from the Senufo (ex Adrian Schlag), is masterfully implemented. It shows a seated young woman at the height of her physical beauty (fig. left).
A striking Tiv figure made of leather of which only a few are known worldwide in museums and privately comes from a Belgian collection (fig. in the middle).
A very rare "Hacha", ex Siskind & Tuttmann Collection, New York, is dated at between 600 and 900 AD. In the Veracruz culture, they were mostly seen in connection with ritual ball games (fig. right)
Due to the current situation and restricted conditions, it is unfortunately not possible for us to present these works in a preview. We have therefore decided to run it as a Live Online Auction.
