Probably a work of the well-known Yoruba carver Onakunle Aribikon or his workshop. A work of the master pictured at Fagg, 1982, Plate 62.
A nearly identical "oshe shango" staff from the Josef Mueller collection was called up on 13 June 1978 as lot 107 at Christie's London (AHDRC 0104712).
