With her slender figure and tender breasts, this figure is certainly the representation of a young girl. Unusual details are the painted pupils and the hairstyle made of finely twisted plant fibre strings.
The Fang are a large ethnic group belonging to the Equatorial Bantu, living in southern Cameroon and northwestern Gabon, as well as in Equatorial Guinea (Rio Muni).
