Wohl ein Werk des namentlich bekannten Yoruba-Schnitzer Onakunle Aribikon oder seiner Werkstatt. Ein Werk des Meisters abgebildet bei Fagg, 1982, Plate 62.

Ein nahezu identischer "oshe shango"- Stab aus der Sammlung Josef Mueller, kam am 13 Juni 1978 als Lot 107 bei Christie's London zum Aufruf (AHDRC 0104712).
